Located on a green plateau, the Municipality of Tignale extends across six hamlets at an altitude ranging from 500 to 600 meters above sea level, overlooking the western shore of Lake Garda.
Along the lake shores, near the rocky cliffs, there is a small port with the charming lemon grove of Prà del la Fam, now transformed into a museum, where you can observe the phases of ancient citrus cultivation.
Tignale has a adventurous and often conflicted history, stemming from its strategic location: Numerous military works, some well-preserved, are still visible today. After World War II, the local economy underwent a transformation, shifting from an agricultural focus to the tourism industry, with opportunities linked to “green tourism” that includes sports such as sailing, mountain biking, hiking, and canyoning.
Among the points of interest are the Museum-Visitor Center of Parco Alto Garda Bresciano and the Sanctuary of Montecastello, which offers a panoramic view of the lower lake and Mount Baldo from its rocky peak.
The Sanctuary of Madonna di Montecastello is the main monument of Tignale, situated on a limestone promontory that overlooks the lake directly. Its privileged location offers unique and spectacular views to visitors, who can admire the towering peaks of Mount Baldo and the peninsula of Sirmione. This panoramic view extends over all the surrounding landscapes, embracing the blue of the water.
This lemon grove is one of the rare ones that continues to produce not only lemons but also oranges, kumquats, mandarins, and grapefruits.
In 2011, it was included in the Lemon Groves Ecomuseum of Lake Garda, which involves the entire territory of Tignale. During the summer, the lemon grove is open to tourists, offering them the opportunity to admire its beauty and taste local food specialties.
The Museo del Parco Alto Garda Bresciano is located in the Visitor Center of Prabione in Tignale.
The museum houses a well-documented and remarkable synthesis of the numerous elements of natural and landscape interest that characterize the territory of Lake Garda and its hinterland, standing out in the context of European parks.
Kitesurfing is the sport of the moment, where adrenaline meets the elements of water and air.
A few kilometers from Tignale is Campione del Garda, a tiny village considered the Mecca for practicing (and learning) kitesurfing.

via Booking.comFantastic family run hotel
Fantastic family run hotel in Tignale. We had a large room with air conditioning (10 euros extra per day). The pool was great to cool off in and the breakfast was excellent. Really friendly staff and plenty of car parking space.
